THE TORTA SHOP AT LITTLE WATER CANTINA
A torta is a Mexican sandwich found in small shops throughout Mexico. All of our tortas are made from scratch using the finest ingredients – local and organic whenever possible. Our bread is provided by Macrina and is more similar to ciabatta than the traditional bolillo. All tortas come with chips & salsa and escabeche, and are also available as burritos!

Wild Boar Torta Ahogada
Applewood smoked wild boar, grilled pineapple, fried onions, refried beans, crema, cilantro, 3-chile sauce

Adobo Chicken
Grilled natural chicken, adobo sauce, fried onions, guacamole, queso cotija, cilantro

Baja-Style Fried Fish
Beer-battered fried wild alaskan cod, pickled organic sweet peppers, cabbage, habanero tartar, cilantro

Pepito
Chipotle roasted pork, queso Oaxaca, carmelized onions, poblano cilantro, refried beans, crema

Chipotle Mushroom
Assorted wild mushrooms, salsa chipotle, smoked onions, housemade queso fresco, romaine, refried beans, cilantro, crema

Mussels in Red Chile Broth
Penn Cove clams, seafood stock, spicy red chile broth, tequila, pico de gallo, Macrina bread

Callejero
Our take on the street snack found throughout Mexico: jicama, watermelon, mango and cucumber dressed in our house hot sauce and peppered with chile powder and house-made queso fresco

Shrimp Aguachile
A light, tangy, refreshing ceviche of white shrimp “cooked” in lime juice and served with cucumbers, serranos, radishes and cilantro. A seafood staple found everywhere from beachside stalls to upscale restaurants in Mexico City

Alaskan Tuna Ceviche
St. Jude’s fishing vessel tuna cooked in lime and dressed in a spicy habanero vinaigrette with apples, jicama and cucumber

Guacamole and Chips
Avocado mashed up with our salsa verde and served with fried flour tortilla chips

Chips and Salsa
Fire-roasted tomatoes, onions and serranos served with freshly fried corn chips

We welcome large groups for lunch. For parties larger than six, please call in advance. For especially large parties, please email tacos@littlewatercantina.com and make a reservation. Our entire lunch menu is available for pick-up.
