We have a winner! The new shirts – a riff on Tecate cans from the 60′s (“aguita” is “little water” in Spanish) – will be delivered this week. We’ll be giving many of them away over the course of the weekend…..

We’re looking for a new Little Water T that immediately ends up on your A-list!

Sure, we could go out and hire a designer to come up with something, but we thought it would be more fun to get you, the great people who frequent Little Water, involved in the process. We’ll reward the winning design with a RESERVED table on the PATIO and a $100 GIFT CARD! (If you’ve been to Little Water in the summer, you know we do not take reservations for the patio and waits are often 1 – 2 hours.) We’ll also print out a couple of hundred T’s and sell them at Little Water. There are no design rules – you do not even have to use our logo – but it would be nice if “Little Water Cantina” actually appeared somewhere.

A Few Specifics:

• The simpler the better: try and limit the design to 2 or 3 colors, and don’t try and cover the entire shirt.
• The winning T will be selected by LWC staff and a few super-regulars.
• We will only retain the rights to use the winning design.
• You get a table on the patio for any single day or night except the 4th of July.
• Tables accommodate 8 people.
• $100 gift card is as good as cash, yet not redeemable for cash. Use it to buy tacos.
• Winner will get 2 of the winning T-shirt.
• Deadline for entries is March 15, 2013.

We’re back in the kitchen after a great trip to Mexico! We’ll be open beginning at noon on Thursday, January 10th. Stay tuned for our first 2013 newsletter – we’ll be highlighting a few details from our trip, and announcing new menu items and events…

Little Water will be closed on Christmas Eve & Day, December 24th & 25th, reopening on the 26th for dinner. We will close December 31st for our annual winter travel break – this year we’re going to Guadalajara! – and will reopen on Friday, January 10th. Happy Holidays & New Year!

We have several holiday parties coming up this December, but this is the only one for which we will be closed. Little Water will be open for lunch, but closed by 3PM Thursday, December 6th, for a private Christmas party. We packed three summers into one this year, including over 70 days without significant rain! Here it is October 3rd and the forecast still calls for sun and temperatures in the high 60′s to low 70′s. That means there’s still time to grab a couple of margaritas on the patio, although you might want a bowl of posole instead of fish tacos. Especially at night. Stay tuned for a new menu that includes a vegetarian chile relleno, cochinita pibil, a fried banana dessert, and more…

Please note that Little Water is closed this Saturday for a private event. But the weather looks great all week!  Come soak up the last of the summer sunshine on the patio and enjoy a fresh blackberry or strawberry margarita!

Join us Saturday, August 18th, at the 1st Annual Northwest Tequila Fest! This is a great opportunity to learn about and try dozens of agave spirits (tequila, mezcal, sotol). We’ll be serving up bacon-wrapped Sonoran hot dogs, elote, and agua fresca. It’s from 1 – 7PM. All proceeds go to charity. Check it out and buy tickets HERE!
